Eris htc manual

The guy at Verizon said a lot of first time smart phone customers have to return for tutorials. Personally, I think I'll stick to what I have. I could see myself wasting too much time with one of those Sargent Senior Member Dec 5, Nautical Son Senior Member Dec 5, Matt, I am posting this from my Droid.

I also have the iPhone and this thing literally blows it away on speed and other stuff too. I love the voice search function the best turn by turn is way easy as well. Bnathanb Senior Member Dec 5, Eris I have an Eris and personally love it.

I was kinda dissapointed at the battery life at first but realized that any of the smart phones will drain the battery faster if you are on the internet, games, etc. I learned to disconnect the internet and close applications when I'm not using them and that helps with the battery life. There are more applications than you can imagine for it for free. The touch screen takes some getting used to if you have never used one before.

As the others have posted, the web is really fast. I've had the phone for a month now and I still probably haven't accessed HALF of what the phone can do. Also heard that they were doing an update on December 12, to the 2. Overall for the money it's well worth it IMO. Trigabby Senior Member Dec 6, So far, I absolutely love my Droid..

Haven't figured out the turn by turn directions stuff, yet.. I don't like the keyboard too much But, other than those two things I love this phone.

Sargent said:. Did he get the Motorola or the HTC? TTT for this one Also, if you don't mind, post approx. Nautical Son Senior Member Dec 10, I have 2 Droids so I can't give you an accurate amount on the bill but Verizon can give you all the details Just hit the Verizon website. Now when i am trying to restore the backup onto the phone using CWM it completes the task but whenever I reboot the phone it gets passed the first samsung screen but hangs at the second SAMSUNG screen where the text is pulsing.

None of these seem to make any difference. I just received a used phone that, when powered on, has Clockworkmod Recovery. Why would this be on the used phone? Has the OS or phone been tampered with by previous user? I cannot figure how to get to main phone screen. Is there a link, or is someone working on developing it? I'm on a Galaxy S2 running Gingerbread 2. Superoneclick kept freezing on me My aim is to install Cyanogenmod 7.

However after rooting it, I installed ClockworkMod Recovery, downloaded the ROM and tried installing it - which is where the problem started - I kept getting the error in recovery mode 'Invalid whole-file signature'.

It just wouldn't boot in to ClockworkMod Recovery. So after some digging around I managed to find a file to flash to my device for the CWM Recovery mode, tried it, and it worked. However, I still couldn't install Cyanogenmod from my SDcard. So, I've managed to get it out of the boot loop, and started fresh I've downloaded CWM again, downloaded the Cyanogenmod again, tried installing it, and once again it's gone back into Androids recovery and failed to install because of the 'whole-file signature' and failing to verify it.

Well, it became stuck on the Samsung boot screen. So I reset it again, and again, and again. Actually, at first I clicked the wipe cache button. So I rebooted it, and now everytime it boots it goes straight to recovery mode Volume Up, Home, Power.

So i began looking for solutions and decided it would be best to restore to a stock Rom. Well I downloaded one, and attempted to look for it in the internal SD card but all it said was "unable to mount sd".

Did some more research, and found something called odin. I went into download mode and odin was able to recognize my device. Loaded up my stock rom pda,. Do not unplug the cable.. Not entirely sure why it stopped at recovery. I installed the Samsung Drivers from the website and still nothing.

Uninstalled odin and went to an older one, still same message. Installed a newer one, still same message. Galaxy 3:I with firmware upgraded to 2. I had been trying to upgrade to 2.

Clockwork mode recovery was not installed and instead in the normal recovery mode a zip file ,containing the files:META-INF,System and zimage, was renamed as "update. I tried usng ODIN to flash , it is flashing and displaying "pass" but no change in the phone. I've read that you can build a custom recovery using the ClockworkMod Builder website with the original recovery img extracted from the device,I tried using this method to extract the recovery: http:[url] Then I used an App called Online Nandroid Backup which has successfully created a recovery img for me, I ran it through the ClockworkMod Builder website but it says no changes were made.

I downloaded Rom manager and install clockworkmod recovery. I want to know how to uninstall it because its stopping me from updating my phone. Any time i try to boot into recovery it doesnt work. It sits at the m logo for a minute then goes black, then back to the m logo and boots normal. I have read through the guides referenced in the sticky but I'm still a bit lost on this sprecovery and clockworkmod recovery or whatever.

I've rooted my FRG22 and have the superuser permissions and have installed titanium backup. I want to now do the nandroid backup business, but I'm lost on whether to use sprecovery or clockworkmod recovery. One of the guides says clockworkmod recovery is easier. I'm not about the 1-click stuff, I'd rather understand what it is i'm doing. Where do I get either of these utilities?

Which one is "better" to use? The concept is that the utility lives on my sdcard and creates a backup image that can then be loaded if manage to flub things up going back and forth between ROMs? Is this the utility that would run when I boot the phone and press X? Right now if I do that, I just get the phone and exclamation point, i take it because I have no recovery utility installed?

Sorry if this has been covered, I've been reading all evening, just need someone to break it down for me. I have searched and searched and still cannot figure out why my epic will not boot into clockwork recovery. Is it possible to undo all of this via one of the RUU files or something?
